Covers “in summer and winter”
In a letter to The President of the Egyptian Agricultural Association, Mohamed Taher Pasha, the Hungarian expert, Tibor de Baddo Santer, recommended that the covers should not be used for horses, saying: “we should not put any blankets for either private or governmental horses and I see here in Egypt they use the cover of horses even in March and April, so I advise to refrain from using them.”
He added: “But I wonder whether it is possible to reach this result to get used to the new situation little by little because I don’t know exactly the influence of the weather here because in Hungary we consider the winter is healthier and more effective and natural barrier against the cold weather and using covers for the free horse does not suit with the free movement of them, as I consider the coverage of horses is abnormal and useless pampering.
In addition, in his memorandum the expert requested to buy training supplies for walking, including saddles, saying: “I did not find the farm saddles, so I propose to buy 15 saddles for education and testing.”
“I see what I found of the bridles are different from each other and I advise to unification the reins frequency with thick and soft sets,” he said
Arabic reins: “I believe that Arabic reins should be only used on occasions such as concerts and parades and that the Arabic reins should be kept in place.
“They must be in the new modern building, and until this is done, I suggest that this should be in one of the docks in the 10-stationed stable in order to save it from damage and to arrange it, the blacksmith or carpenter can be used for its work.
Wagon room: This room can be built next to the saddler and crew cabin with the new stationed symriots to be in one building.
Equipment and machinery: You should be prepared to buy the equipment and special agricultural machines in the maintenance of pastures such as “a cylinder for the settlement of the land, a machine for cutting hashish as well as axes and sickle.
