Red horses are horses whose color is pure red, and a hadith was mentioned about the preference for horses of red color, which was narrated by Ibn Abbas, he said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: \u201cYemen horses are red in color.\u201d It was narrated by Abu Dawood, Al-Tirmidhi and Ahmad, and its chain of transmission is good, and it was classed as hasan by Al-Tirmidhi and others. It was classed as hasan by Al-Albani in Sahih Sunan Abi Dawood, and Shuaib Al-Arnaoot in his commentary on the Musnad, and Al-Suyuti narrated it in Al-Jami Al-Kabeer, and said: It is a good hadith, and Al-Wadi\u2019i narrated it in Al-Musnad Al-Sahih.<\/p>\n
In the narration of Al-Tirmidhi in his Sunan, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas: \u201cYemen horses are red in color.\u201d He is a good stranger.<\/p>\n
The meaning of the hadith is that the red horse is auspicious, meaning that it has goodness and blessing.<\/p>\n
And the Arabs say: The most generous of horses and good women is the red one<\/p>\n
It was said that the Arabs, before this hadith, were pessimistic about the red horse, because of its extreme speed in war; so be<\/p>\n
It was reported that “Lakit bin Zurara” was in one of the wars on a blond horse, so he started saying: “Red, if you advance, you will be slaughtered, and if you are late, you will be slaughtered.” His words became an example.<\/p>\n
Rather, he said this because if the red horse runs at its speed in the war, it will be the first horse to reach the enemy and be killed, and if he slows down and retreats in defeat, they will come to him from behind him, and they will kill him.<\/p>\n
