She married in 1869, “Wilfred Blunt”, one of the English diplomatic corps, and he was a man of great handsomeness and an attractive personality who captivated many of the beauties of Europe at the time.<\/p>\n
And fate decreed that this man should be the first joy of Lady Anne and her last tragedy; Their married life was marred by many disturbances that spoiled their happiness, and after her marriage to Wilfrid Blunt, her nickname became Lady Anne Blunt.<\/p>\n
She loved horses very much, and she used to ride them without a saddle, and she said in her memoirs that she liked to imagine herself as a horse, afraid of falling into some kind of trap, and to avoid this, she imitated the mare in its fast running.<\/p>\n
And she remembers, too, that she slipped out of her bed at twilight in the summer into the stables; to paint a horse.<\/p>\n
This is how the love of horses was rooted in Lady Anne since childhood, and this did not come by chance or by chance, as she was the descendant of a family that loved horses for more than three hundred years.<\/p>\n
Why did Lady Anne Blunt come to Egypt?<\/p>\n
With the development that took place in Egypt and the digging of the Suez Canal and the construction of railways, Egypt has become a place that tourists like to relax in, or who are transiting to India or returning from it. Cairo has become the preferred eastern capital for all Europeans.<\/p>\n
The best place for Europeans and Egyptians to meet was the Shepheard Hotel in the Azbakeya district of Cairo. It was in this hotel that Lady Anne Blunt and her husband Walfred met Ali Pasha Sharif in 1880 AD, and they asked him to visit his stables in Hadara.<\/p>\n
Lady Blunt says in her memoirs: We were very longing to see the famous horses of Ali Pasha Sharif, and we were astonished by the beauty of the horses in the stalls: Wazira, Shweman, Aziz, and other horses. The horses amounted to nearly a hundred horses.<\/p>\n
The relationship developed between Ali Pasha Sherif and Al Blunt, so they bought a group of his horses, and in 1881 AD the Blunt couple moved to live in Egypt.<\/p>\n
She bought Sheikh Obaid’s stables to breed purebred Arabian horses on the outskirts of the desert in the Ain Shams suburb of Cairo in 1882 AD. Thus, Lady Anne remained in Egypt until her eighty years of age, with everything that would secure the preservation of the offspring of the rare horse.<\/p>\n
She built stables for breeding horses, which was known as Crabbet Park (their breeding fields in England), from the production of her horses in Egypt on the one hand, and from what she bought from the original horses from the Arab countries on the other.<\/p>\n

Lady Anne Blunt bought a distinguished group of purebred Arabian horses, including “Masoud” of the Saqlawi dynasty, Jidran Ibn Sudan, the great-grandfather of Lady Blunt’s horses. In Krabet, this includes the legendary horse counterpart; Because Masoud appeared twice in the lineage of peer, and the stallion Talluqa Marzouk bin Wazir, and his mother Kahila Jalabiya, born in 1887.<\/p>\n
