Abu Huraira – may God be pleased with him – narrated that the Messenger of God – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – said: “The horses are tied with good intentions until the Day of Resurrection. And he who takes it for the sake of God and prepares it for him, it is his reward, and nothing is hidden in their bellies, but God has written a reward for him.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and Al-Nasa’i, and it is an authentic hadith, and Al-Bukhari narrated it without mentioning the wording: The horse is knotted with goodness in its forelocks until the Day of Resurrection, and Muslim And the owner of “Al-Muwatta”.
This hadith clarified three types of men in raising horses: the first is one who ties his horses for jihad.
The second type is the one who ties his horses in order to be chaste or adorn themselves with them, and at the same time he did not disobey God in them, then in this case he has a covering.
As for the third type, which is one who ties his horses out of hypocrisy or enmity with Muslims, it is a sin upon him.
